We are committed to electing strong democrats to bring about powerful, positive change for Athens County.

Mission

The mission of the Athens County Democratic Party is to:

1. Promote democratic ideals and principles;

2. Educate residents on voting, candidates, and issues they care about most;

3. Increase active participation in local, state, and national issues and elections;

4. Promote fair and accessible elections;

5. Identify, recruit, train, support, and elect committed Democratic candidates for public office;

6. Develop an open and dynamic grassroots organization to carry out Democratic Party activities, and;

7. Raise sufficient resources to effectively achieve these goals.
